Krewe of Krazo

Krewe of Krazo

Established in 2006, the Krewe of Krazo is the oldest Mardi Gras Krewe in Eureka Springs.
If you’re not familiar with the lingo, a Krewe is a group or organization that hosts a Mardi Gras ball, rides on a parade float and participates in social events throughout carnival season. Our Krewe elects a royal court who helps uphold the traditions of Mardi Gras.
In Louisiana, Mardi Gras is an official holiday held on Fat Tuesday (March 1 this year), but the main Eureka Springs parade is held the Saturday before Fat Tuesday (March 1 this year) because it’s not a holiday in Arkansas, and this enables more people to attend….

And throngs do attend. This year is the first time all the Eureka Krewes have joined together in cooperation with each other. This year will be the biggest Mardi Gras ever, a cavalcade of home town fun.
